Volunteers

Lifeline has a large and lively team of volunteers. They are essential to the work and operation of our services on Leith Walk and the running of the two Charity Shops.

Would you like to join our team?

• Baby gift packers: we need volunteers to work in our Centre on Leith Walk. Every week Lifeline receives donations of baby clothes, new and used, as well as equipment such as cots. Volunteers are needed to sort these donations and make up gift packs for mothers and babies in need.

• Charity Shop workers: volunteers are also needed in our Charity shops; one on Gorgie Road and the other in Portobello. Work in the shops is busy and varied and involves receiving and sorting merchandise, displaying goods for sale and serving the public.

• From time to time we also look for specialist volunteers with particular skills and talents, such as Graphic Design or IT skills.
