What We Believe

Lifeline is an organisation that respects individuals and places value on activities that help families, in all their varied forms, to flourish and be happy. Our aim is to help build communities that are involved and caring in emotional and practical ways.

Lifeline counselling is independent and impartial in its practice. We respect the autonomy of each person who seeks support. We help them to reach decisions and solutions that are congruent with their own values. When requested, we provide advice in the form of signposting to other services and agencies.

Through its Charity Shops Lifeline seeks to enhance the environment and cohesion of local communities. The Shops recycle good quality items for sale at affordable prices. They also create volunteering opportunities with all the benefits that accrue from joining a community of volunteers.
