Charity Shops

Lifeline’s Charity Shops are located in two areas of Edinburgh where families and individuals can benefit from the recycling of good quality items for sale at affordable prices. The shops create volunteering opportunities and all the benefits that accrue from joining a community of volunteers. Importantly too, they generate income to fund Lifeline’s Counselling and Practical Assistance services.

Gorgie Shop

The Lifeline shop on Gorgie recently moved a few doors along the road to new and larger premises. The increased space has allowed us to expand the range of stock and to include good quality furniture.

Portobello Shop

The Charity shop on Portobello High Street has a long-standing team of volunteers, and is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere. The shop is known by all the young mums as the place to go for good quality baby and children’s clothes.

Both shops stock a wide range of goods from women’s, men’s and children’s clothes and shoes; to books, DVDs, CDs & records, ornaments, household items and much more.

Donations are always needed at both shops and can be dropped off during opening hours.
